About your guide to the great north

REMOTE HUNTING IN CANADA, IN NORTHERN WILDERNESS, WHERE YOU’LL ENJOY AN OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME WITH THE ALBERTA PREMIER OUTDOOR OUTFITTER!

My name is Charles Beauchamp, I am the owner & operator of Birch Mountain Outfitters. Firstly, Thank you for your interest in a real Canadian Safari Experience.

For me wilderness preservation has been a lifetime commitment. I started hunting at the age of 12. With my dad’s friends that were outfitters hunting Moose on river trips or fly out to camps. This when I fell in love with the wilderness trips and going into remote areas to hunt. In 1978 I became a licensed hunting guide. I worked for other hunting outfitters till 1992. In 1993 I became an Outfitter in the North of Alberta the Fort McMurray area which is located 200 km north of any farmland.

The areas that I hunt are very remote and is a vast wilderness where we selectively cull the natural heard. To do this kind of business you have to have a love for the wilderness and be devoted to doing a lot of work in the wilderness.

It takes us many hours of background work for every hour we get to hunt. Our guides are busy throughout the year preparing, everything from cutting trails, building and upkeep of campsites, pre-baiting bears, and organizing the equipment and food.

We have had the opportunity to work with clients from Germany, Austria, Denmark, the USA, and now China. With past clients commenting that we run a 5 star bush hotel you will get home-cooked meals with cozy warm beds in all of our campsites.

Good food, Good Camps, and good hunting will make you rethink your relationship with food & nature.

i’ve Hunted six world parts: Australia, Asia, Africa, Europa, South and now North America. Hunting Dangerous Game like Black Bear is a question about trust. I decided to hunt Canadian Game with the outfitter Charles Beauchamp from Birch Mountain Alberta Canada, to hunt 2 Black Bear & a Timber wolf ( if I had the possibility of coming across one).

The hunt we booked took place in the beginning of June 2019, and I was really looking forward to that hunt, and after the hunt I can say that I was definitely not disappointed.

The hunting area at the Birch Mountain was excellent, accommodation also fine, big tents with heating and 220 volt, and food was good. The numbers of Bears was great, I can’t remember the exact numbers. I looked at male, female with young cubs all from one high platform. There was taken 3 bears within 3 hours, by 3 different hunters.
